The international tractor market is steadily growing
According to the information released by EIMA exhibition, although there are differences in market, price and other aspects among different continents, the international tractor market is in a steady growth stage. Among them, India and China are among the top sellers in the world in terms of sales, while European and American products have higher unit prices.
There are currently over 34 million tractors in use worldwide, with 39% concentrated in Asia, 36% in Europe, 22% in the Americas, and relatively few in Oceania and Africa. In recent years, tractor sales have been around 2 million units per year. India and China, both emerging markets, have an annual sales volume of approximately 620000 and 500000 tractors, respectively. In other countries and regions, there are about 160000 in Western Europe, 100000 in the United States, 57000 in Türkiye, and 24500 in Russia. According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, this number is expected to increase significantly in the coming years. However, the organizers of the EIMA exhibition believe that sales volume is an important indicator reflecting demand, but it does not correspond to actual value. In traditional Western markets, tractors generally have higher technological levels, greater power, and higher prices. For example, the annual transaction volume of agricultural machinery in Europe is as high as about 26 billion euros, of which tractors are worth about 8 billion euros; The transaction volume of agricultural machinery in the United States is about 21 billion euros, of which tractors are worth about 7 billion euros; The transaction volume of agricultural machinery in China is about 14 billion euros, of which the value of tractors is about 9 billion euros. The organizers of the EIMA exhibition predict that in 2015, China is expected to maintain its current sales volume and ensure its current market position; Due to excessive purchases of tractors by farmers in France, Germany, and the UK in the past few years, sales in Europe may decline by around 7% next year.
