There are thousands of types of agricultural machinery in China, but among them, the seeder has the highest technological content and plays a decisive role in the high yield and 

harvest of crops. Although the threshold for entering the seeder industry is not high, it is not easy to achieve a high level of expertise in seeders. From a global perspective, only a 

few companies with strong professional capabilities, such as Maschio, Amasun, Haoshi, Kenz, and Aodi Botian, can truly be called seeder experts.

In the Chinese market, seeders are a very inconspicuous industry that has long been overlooked, but in recent years they have suddenly become popular, with powerful large 

enterprises entering one after another, and technological progress advancing rapidly. At the National Agricultural Machinery Exhibition held in Changsha, Hunan from October 

26th to 28th this year, the seeding machine products were also a rare and hot event in the past 20 years. More than 80 hand-held machine enterprises participated in the 

exhibition, especially more than 30 enterprises exhibited pneumatic and electric drive seeding machines. So, what wonderful performances did dozens of brands, big and small, 

have?

1、 European and American powerhouses

Famous European and American seeders that have achieved sales or localized production in the Chinese market include German companies such as Howl Lion, Reken, and 

Amasson, Norwegian companies such as Groen, French companies such as Kuhn, Italian companies such as Maschio and Masca, Polish companies such as Yunia and 

Odiboutian, American companies such as Kenz and John Deere.

However, due to regional location and other reasons, some companies did not participate in this exhibition. What we can see up close at the exhibition are seeders from Reken, 

Amasun, Kuhn, Maschio, and Yunia.

Amasun's products are always high-quality. Amasun has introduced the AD 3000 Super compound operation strip sowing machine, Cherus Cirrus 4003-2CC electric drive air 

blown strip sowing machine, and Prisia Precea 6000-2CC electric drive air blown sowing machine series models to meet the demand characteristics of the Chinese market.

Among them, the Cirrus 6003-2CC electric driven air blown strip sowing machine adopts a centralized seed and fertilizer supply method. The machine is equipped with Amasun's 

unique patented technology intelligent seed scraper system, which can detect the scraping intensity position according to the actual seed sowing situation. The operation process 

is intelligently adjusted throughout the entire period, saving seeds while reducing the driver's work intensity. Intelligence improves the quality of sowing, with a maximum operating 

speed of 20 kilometers per hour and an operating efficiency of 90 acres per hour, making it the machine with the highest on-site operating efficiency.

Maschio brings numerous products to the exhibition every year. This year, it showcased 9 heavyweight products including precision seeders, high-performance strip seeders, 

straw returning machines, and rotary tillers. Among them, the seeders include the CHRONO 8-row high-speed electric control seeder and the OPERA 600 high-performance air 

strip seeder, which are the first of their kind in China.

CHRONO8 belongs to the air suction and air blowing hybrid model, which is highly valued by domestic seeder manufacturers. This model can be used for high-speed seeding 

after no tillage, minimal tillage, or tillage, with a working speed of 15km/h. It is equipped with a new type of air suction and air blowing high-speed seeding unit, which can be 

applied to different crops. Configure Maschio's own ISOBUS electronic control platform to achieve automatic segmented sowing and fertilization, as well as sowing and fertilizing 

according to different plot variables.

Germany's Reken is an expert in the field of tillage machines, but its sowing machines are also very powerful. It is said that the existing products were acquired through the 

acquisition of a well-known sowing machine factory in South Africa, and Reken has a production base in Qingdao.

At this exhibition, Reken brought the Zirkon+Saphir compound precision seeder and the Solitair high-speed precision strip seeder. Zirkon+Saphir is a combination of Reken 

Zirkon drive rake and Saphir Safire precision strip seeder, known as the rake sowing integrated machine in China. Reken Qikang power drive rake is at the top of the drive rake 

industry, and Safire precision strip seeder is the leader in the seeder industry. The perfect combination of the two products shows strong competitiveness, which is Reken's main 

sales of seeders in China and very competitive in the market.

Overall, European and American machinery companies have a deeper understanding of Chinese agriculture, either by introducing products that are suitable for China's national 

conditions or by making effective localized improvements. Domestic brands have the opportunity to learn from them up close.

2、 Domestic emerging talents

The seeders of multinational companies are exquisite and tasteful, which is the result of centuries of industrial civilization. However, the real highlight of this exhibition is the 

booths of domestic seeder brands.

This year, nearly 80 companies exhibited numerous eye-catching seeders. After a year, the changes in domestic seeder products and the rapid advancement of technology have 

exceeded the recognition of many people, including myself.

The 40 row 2BTQ-40 pneumatic strip planter, 31 row 2BMZFS-30 lifting no till fertilization and sowing machine, as well as the 2BXF-81 multifunctional sowing and fertilization 

strip planter, 2BMZF-12C no till finger clamp precision fertilization and sowing machine, 2BTFQ-8 electric drive air blown oil crop sowing machine, 2BTQ-40 pneumatic universal 

strip planter, 2BMQJ-24 no till pneumatic centralized seed and fertilizer supply and sowing machine exhibited by Jilin Kangda Company.

Many of them are the first domestically produced breakthrough or new models with the most rows and highest efficiency. These models have never appeared at previous 

exhibitions, fully reflecting the technical foundation and profound research and development strength of Kangda Company, the leader in conservation tillage. As the saying goes, 

"Three years without a sound, one sound is amazing". This year's Kangda booth is the most visited and frequent place by domestic and foreign seeder peers

There are also several emerging industries worth paying attention to: Heilongjiang Dewo, Hebei Bashangde Yibo, Jiangsu Yancheng Yonghong, Hubei Yongxiang.

Heilongjiang Dewo can be considered as the first enterprise to achieve commercial mass sales of air suction electric drive seeders. The company has completed the introduction 

of industry concepts and market cultivation for domestic electric drive seeders. In this regard, the company has made a "seeder, publicity team, and manifesto" contribution to the 

Chinese pneumatic and electric drive seeder industry.

At this exhibition, Dewo brought three types of air suction electric drive precision seeders, 2BQD-8, 2BQD-12, and 2BQD-18. The on-site staff introduced that they are Dewo's 

independently developed intelligent control system. The 2BQD-18 electric drive air suction seeder and electric drive hydraulic auger fertilizer applicator are equipped with 8 

monitoring cameras on the body, which can dynamically monitor the operation situation in real time at any time. It can achieve corn and soybean compound sowing operation, 

with single line independent control, single line density reduction function, variable fertilization function, and operation memory function. After storing sowing, fertilization and 

other operation parameters, they can be used directly for the next operation. The operation speed can reach 12 kilometers per hour. Through Dewo's electric drive seeder, we 

can basically understand the work of domestic pneumatic and electric drive seeders. Principles, technical proficiency, and operational efficiency.

Deyi Bo is a cutting-edge domestic seeder with a clear commitment to the air blowing method. The author has visited Deyibo Company three times for communication. This 

company, formerly engaged in the export of office furniture, has mastered the core technology of raw materials and mold manufacturing. After entering the seeder industry, it has 

achieved great success in the small grain precision seeder and garlic seeder industries. After entering the main grain crop harvester business, it started with air blown technology.

At this exhibition, a full range of 4-12 rows of air blown precision seeders were showcased. Of course, DeYi Bo called its product a sprayer. The company's seeder adopts a 

modular design and uses a large number of molds and plastic parts. On the one hand, it improves the accuracy, standardization, and consistency of components, and on the 

other hand, it reduces manufacturing costs. In terms of production organization, it can also improve production efficiency and ensure fast supply during peak sales seasons. 

Currently, DeYi Bo's second-generation sprayer can reach a speed of 20 kilometers per hour, which can compete with imported products.

Yonghong Agricultural Machinery. This company was established in 2019, and its main products are corn precision seeders, available in both northern and southern styles. The 

company has a strong ability to make its own products, with core components such as seeders and fans designed and produced by itself. It collaborates with research institutes 

to develop independent electric drive systems. Currently, there are few companies in China that have such thorough internal production capabilities.

Yonghong, like Deyi Bo, adheres to the air blowing technology route and has long been promoting the "V" - shaped planting mode. At this exhibition, Yonghong showcased over a 

dozen precision seeders, with a maximum of 12 rows. Unlike other seeder companies that promote their products, Yonghong drives the sales of seeders by promoting a new 

planting model that increases production and income. Using Yonghong seeders can bring increased production and income to growers.

Yongxiang, Hubei. The technology route taken by Hubei Yongxiang is quite unique. The company's products have the same structure as Austria's APV company. The characteristic of adopting this technology route is the use of slot wheel type forced seeders, which are suitable for small seed strip sowing. Yongxiang's core competitiveness lies in rice dry live broadcasting, high sowing accuracy, and not easy to cut off or miss seeds. Yongxiang's core advantages are air blowing function and intelligent control system, which can achieve intelligent control, real-time monitoring, radar speed measurement, etc. of sowing operations.

At this exhibition, Yongxiang brought 6 artificial intelligence air blown seeders, including a drive rake independent imitation seeder, an independent imitation seeder integrated 

machine, a dual axis rake fertilization seeder integrated machine, a trailer type sowing and fertilization integrated machine, and a rice live broadcast machine.

In addition, there are competitive models exhibited by excellent enterprises such as Zhongke Tengsen, Beckrius, Liaoyuan, Zhengzhou Longfeng, etc.

3、 Powerful experts

Ordinary seeders are not attractive to large enterprises, as they do not have cost advantages. However, when pneumatic and electric seeders have technical barriers, 

manufacturing difficulties, promotion and service barriers, large enterprises will enter. In the European and American markets, well-known brands such as John Deere, Case New 

Holland, and Fantawild have their own high-end seeder brands. Although they are not as famous as their tractors and combine harvesters, they are still part of the overall 

competitiveness of large brands.

From this year's Changsha Conference, it can be seen that several large and diversified agricultural machinery enterprises in China have also entered the seeder industry.

Weichai Lovol exhibited a "tractor+air suction precision seeder" unit, among which the seeder is an 18 row pneumatic electric drive seeder, which has been polished by Lovol for many years and carries the responsibility of Lovol's full process solution; Yituo Dongfanghong also exhibited a "tractor+air suction precision seeder" unit, among which the seeder is an 8-row air suction electric drive seeder.

In addition, it can also be seen on site that Wode Agricultural Machinery exhibited a compound drive rake bar planter, and Dongfeng Jingguan exhibited a 2BQFA-8 oil wheat 

dual-purpose pneumatic high-speed precision combined seeder.

Power product companies have the advantages of convenient production organization, distribution channels, and network services, but seeders are a product category with 

strong professional requirements. The technology of tractors and combine harvesters cannot be directly applied to seeders. Globally, host companies want to cultivate their own 

seeder business, but few have achieved real competitive advantages.

Conclusion: This year's national conference almost became the home ground for seeder companies. From the Changsha conference, it can be seen that 2024 is the first year of 

pneumatic and electric drive seeders. Driven by demand and stimulated by policies, China will soon experience a historical moment of switching from mechanical seeders to 

pneumatic and electric drive seeders in 2025.
